My husband has a 606 FICO. Assuming nothing changes in his CR , how much do you think his score will be raised by becoming an Authorized user on new Platinum card with a 6000 credit limit assuming also that I will keep the balance under 50 percent? Thanks Diane
I think it depends on what his CL is now and what percentage of it he is using. I don't know, but I am also interested in the answer. It probably also depends on how many credit cards he already has on his credit report.
It really is impossible to predict. Assuming as stated above, there should be some increase. But, this also depends on how old the card is. If it is fairly new, it may take a few months for the increases to kick in just like it will on yours.
As an individual account owner, the similator from Equifax seems to say my increase in score could be between 25 and 50 points from the get go. I was wondering if it impacted an AU the same way. I am a 708 but I am hoping the increase will impact my husbands score profoundly even over the next two years in preparation for a home. The account has not been reported yet but I contacted my CC company and they said they report to all three CB's on both mine and his.
