Just wondering how often everyone checks their credit scores. How often should I check to see if it has changed any?

I went through a phase when I was checking it daily through Privacy guard and other on-line services.

But after seeing the same number day after day, week after week I weened myself from that habit.

Now I only check when I see that something has changed on my report.

It was monthly when I was using Equifax's Creditwatch service. Now that I'm using Experian's Creditexpert, I check daily. Since I don't have to request a report to see score and utilization changes, it's much less of a hassle to look daily. I only pull the report if the score changes.

I'm experimenting much more with payment timing as a result of seeing daily scores. I don't need to maximize my score at the moment, but knowing how to may be useful when I do need to maximize my score.

I have experian credit (watch?) and I usually check the score every two to three days. The report I'll pull maybe every two to three weeks.

I don't have creditwatch or any of the other credit monitoring programs.

I pully my equifax FICO score once a month generally on the 5th or 6th via myfico.com.

If you pull before the 2nd, myfico's computers won't be updated and you will have wasted your $12.95.
