I don't know. When I had collections people calling me years ago, they would always say "this is Mr. Wuertzer", like not disclosing their first name gave them some kind of power.
I was told by a collection rep that they use Ms. or Mr. whatever becuase they want to stay professional. First name basis allows for friendships to be formed and they're not trying to be nobodys friend! They want their money.... Must be a psychological thing...
