Hello All, I am pretty needy these days. We thought debt consolidation was a good thing. We were half way through our program when the company Solidium went out of business due to the feds filing suit. I currently have two law firms filing against me. One I was lucky enough to have Solidum have a lawyer write my responce and have yet to here a court date. The second company I am currently speaking to in the hopes of staying out of court. The second one was for 1500, the lawyers got a hold of it and want 2400 however they said they'd settle for 2000. 500 bucks for sending a letter seems crazy high!! Does any one have any helpfull information or experience on this matter? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry about my spelling......
Screwed...??? scale of 1 to 10 about an 8 Dispute everything in writing... Why are the lawyers involved when you were working it out with a company... I think you should transfer to someone like www.mycesi.org or someone like that... Did you default on any payments to them?
Thanx for the reply. Solidium apparently hadn't paid anything for about a year and a hlf. The credit company wont deal with me now and there telling me to deal with the Law firms. The law firms suck cause they want to retire on me. Pretty good business to be in as it sits I'll bee paying roughly 450 for them to write me a letter!! Any idea if this could be alot worse in court?
do you have proof you paid this company to make payments on your behalf? if so, you may have a suit against the company (even though they went out of business)...tell them to work with you or you will file bk and they won't get jack squat.
Hey Jenz, Yas we do have documentation stating that Solidium was paying on our behalf. They had us sigh over power of attourny to them. Will the fact that we had perfect credit before Solidium took over help at all in court? My credit rating was 752 and my wifes 760 before Solidium got ahold of the accounts.
