How soon to redispute?

When a dispute doesn't come out the way you want, how soon to you guys wait to dispute it again? My current 'big baddie' is my auto loan which was showing 30, 29, or 28 30 day lates depending on which report you were looking at. I disputed it a month ago and experian changed it to never late, equifax changed it to seven 30 day lates, and it looks like transunion went from 30 to 28. The 30 days isn't quite up for transunion, so I'm still hoping for better, but the fact that they changed it probably means that's where it's going to stay.

Right now I'm planning on leaving the seven 30 day lates on equifax because I'm a bit afraid that it will go up if I try to dispute it again, but I want to dispute with transunion again. Should I send out another dispute as soon as I get the official results, or should I wait a little while first?

    Thanks,
    Brett

What is the status of the account now? If it's paid off, or you have made a significant number of on time payments since the lates you might try a goodwill letter to whoever has or had the loan.

It was just recently paid off (March/03) and unfortunatly there were some late payments up to the end, so I'm not sure a goodwill will help. Since there are now no late payments on experian and there was a significant reduction of equifax I have hope that I take care of this with another dispute. I'm just not sure if disputing again right away will get me labeled as frivilous or not.

I kept disputing an account (once a week for 12 weeks) until they deleted.

Frivolous or not - its your right to dispute

You didn't wait for the results to come back before disputing again? Did you just send the same letter every week? I say letter since I'm assuming you couldn't do this online...
