    Hi all!

I've been searching and reading all sorts of posts this weekend, and was hoping one of you CapOne experts could help me.
I had a CapOne account that has charged off 2/2001. The high credit was $202, bu the balance is now $963. Is there any way that I can talk them into accepting the original balance and converting this report into some sort of positive light?? Or do I stand a better chance of seeing Elvis??? I appreciate any help. TIA!

Send a letter via Planetfeedback. Eugene Cooke will answer you from one day to one week later. He'll make you a good deal. If you want you can dispute it down. I started with an R9, and I have it down to an R5, so far, just going at it with the CRA's. I'm now going to start writing to Cap 1 and "see which way the wind blows". Charlie

Hi, I hate to hijack your thread, but I have a question. Is CAP 1 really that efficient? From everything I'm gathering from the threads, their record keeping is immaculate. I have a c/o from 1997 and I was considering validating, but now I'm not so sure., it seems they keep everything, no chance of paperwork being lost/misplaced etc. I understand that yours is recent, but take heart, Cap One was reflecting on all of my reports. I disputed and it was deleted from EX and EQ, TU is a little more difficult.

Here is the letter I sent...what do you all thin?

    Hello,

Some time ago, I had a Capital One account. Due to some personal difficulties, the account became past due and has been charged off.

I really would like to repay my obligation to Capital One. However, the exorbitant charges that were tacked on to the original balance have nearly quadrupled the total of my original debt, and it would pose a hardship to me to have to pay that large an amount.

I understand the importance of repaying my financial obligations and I would really like to enter into a positive business relationship with Capital One. I am hoping that it would be possible for me to pay back the original amount that is owed to you ($202, by my records), and have my credit report reflect a more positive standing with your company.

I look foward to hearing from you soon.
