    Howdy All,

I called a CA for the correct Account # and they gave it to me.

They also gave me a PO Box to send correspondence to. I however, have their corporate address which is a physical location.

If I send a CRRR validation statement to a PO Box, will it get signed? Has anybody done this or do you use physical addresses?

I figure if I send it to the physical address it'll just cost them more of their 30 days as they have to get it over to their processing building and the correct dept.

What are your thoughts? I appreciate the help.

Someone has to pick it up from a PO box, so the letters get signed for.

I sent a CRRR letter to IC Systems and they never picked it up. The Post Office said they never pick up mail from that address because it is for validation letters only. So, I ended up sending another letter to their bill payment center. The bottom line is that I wasted 30 days waiting to be told by the PO they they could not deliver.

Unless it was put in the wrong box or it's returned to sender b/c it was not picked up in time.or it gets intercepted some how.

So, are you saying I should send it to their payment center or to the physical address of the corporation?

    Thanks.

I had that problem with I.C. Systems also. I sent the letter again but this time I wrote -PAYMENT ENCLOSED- on the front of it. They signed for that one! hahah!
    Cheers!

So that explains why the last validation letter I sent was never returned or signed for. They think they're slick@

    Now to Plan B...:)

Yup. This one's going to the physical address listed on their corporate website and with the notation "Payment Enclosed".

    Thanks for the tips.

BTW, what state is your IC Systems in? I've got one in NC and one in Mn.

Also, I wouldn't write "payment enclosed" unless there really is a payment inside. I know that CA's are not reputable, but if I'm attempting to build a legal case, I don't need one trace of evidence that I might have lied.

Instead, buy those "window envelopes" and print their address from a quality printer. This type of letter always get signed for when I send them. I use the double-window type and I formatted the address page to look similar to the correspondence that ADP (a payroll processing company) sends. If you want to do anything maybe have "Attn: Accounts Receivable" added to the address line.

No: but it needs added to the consumer protection laws.

The IC Systems I dealt with was in Minn.

I do not remember the addresses I used. My credit report gave an incomplete address so I called IC. The clerk asked why I needed the address. I said for a validation. She gave me the address where I sent the first letter that was returned unclaimed. Then, I called back and asked for the address to send a payment to. I used that one for the second letter which was signed for.

Why on earth did you call and ask for an account number?

I sent a validation letter and estoppel letter to Credit Management.

First one I only had the addresses on the front, and it took them 10 days to sign for it.

Second one I marked "Payment Enclosed" - I got the green card back in 2 days :)

So the jury is up on what to do. Myself, I'd reccomend the "Payment Enclosed" part...

I had a partial from the credit report but the last few numbers were x's. Shouldn't I put the account number on the correspondence? Or would that just make their validation easier and thus I should omit it?

I would think that if I didn't give 'em an account # they could claim "insufficient information provided" and reject it as frivolous.

    Your thoughts are invited....
