How to deal with Lg # of PP Inq?

Anyone have luck with getting PP inquiries removed. I am looking at several from last yr when I was home buying, so the same companies are listed as doing hard inq within a few weeks time.

I know that typically inqs of this nature are deduped if they are within 2 wks of one another. My inqs are more like 3-4 wks apart for the same lenders.

The approach I tried was to contact the potential lenders and ask that they dedupe or delete altogether.

    Their response...does this sound right?
The dupes were inquires based on different programs (like FHA/Fannie Mae/Conventional), so I was told that they were legit and could not be removed. In fact the women I spoke with (very helpful and polite) indicated that they absolutely could not remove these types of inqs.

    Sound kosher?
Any other ideas? I guess I could dispute with the CRAs, but the women I spoke with at a particular lender sounded quite "matter-of-fact" and was able to pull up my info in mere seconds with my name and ssn.

I don't have a beef with any of the inqs, just want to better my score as much as possible.

    Thanks in advance.

You might try contacting them again and ask if they can convert these to soft inq's instead. I have read that other people have had this done so it might be worth a try. You could also send letter via planetfeedback.com asking them to do this and just state that the multiple inq's are having a negative affect on your credit.

    Good luck!

I got the exact same response from my mortgage company. (jerks)

Racked up NINE INQUIRIES over six weeks for one lousy mortgage. All from the same company albeit the exact spelling is varied with each pull.

Plus they went through everything but my mom's scrapbook before they gave me the loan, even with median score of 735.

They keep telling me that it's all part of their underwriting and there's nothing they will do about them; I certainly hope you have better luck!

You need to contact the CRA and ask them how they have them coded and ask them to code them correctly if needed.
