how to deal with mortgage deletions

I have used Lexington Law Firm for the past 15 months and I just dropped them and took things over for myself (and Hubby).

I have noticed that Lex got my negative mortgage trade line deleted from mine and my hubby's TU and EQ reports. It is still showing on both of our EX reports (Experian seem soooo much more evil!!). I probably wouldn't have tried myself to have our mortgage deleted, but changed to show never been late.

Ex is reporting us as 7 or 8--30 day lates and 1--60 day late. We were told by a couple of mortgage companies that that they could count the 30 days as one because they are consecutive (we are now current since 6/03). We never really were 60 days late at all.

My question is: How do I approach this? 1. If we're trying to refinance, won't we have to show mortgage history somehow even if it is not on our credit reports? 2. Is our best approach to now try to get EX to delete our mort TL altogether? 3. How does not having a mortgage TL affect our FICO's?

    Thanks for any input!
