How to determine date of last delinquency?

I noticed that Trans Union does not show date of last payment like Equifax does.

I have one account listed on my Trans Union report which is not listed on Equifax or Experian. It states that it was closed 06/05, which is still a two years shy of the statute of limitations in my state.

Any suggestions on how I could determine what the last payment date was?

    Thank you.

I would think your most reliable source for this sort of information would be a statement from the creditor. What you see on a credit report can be off by several months, depending on how and when the creditor reports the information (of course, everything that is reported is supposed to be accurate but if that was the case, I can't help but wonder why there's always some difference between the different bureaus.

Also, make sure you're looking at the data from the bureau itself, not something that's been repeated 2nd hand and simplified or the average consumer. There's a lot more data than meets the eye in the online credit reports.

Remember that the date of last payment and the date of most recent delinquency are different. If you didn't bring the account current, then it could still have been delinquent at the time of the last payment.

One other thing to remember is that some credit bureaus get their information from other credit bureaus and not the original creditor. My guess is the TransUnion version is such an example.

I'd get a copy of your Equifax report and see what it says if you can't find any statements from the original creditor.
