I just started getting collection calls after years of peace. Right now its only two old credit cards but I'm sure more will call. I don't have money to pay any of these people besides I have lived with the bad credit for years now and I think I should be nearing the point when they start to reach the 7 year limit. If I understand correctly 4 years is the sol in the state of Texas right? Well how do I find out the dates of my accounts last action. I got one of those free credit reports from online and they only have dates accounts were opened & then by mostly collection agencies and not the original dates the accounts charged off? Any help would be most appreciated.
Experian should tell you how long things are scheduled to hang around. Not that I wouldn't try to expedite the removal
