I receieved a collection letter from RMA, but it is addressed to a previous name that is not connected to my credit reports. I disputed this name and it has come off my reports. I did not open this letter and think I should return to sender as perosn does not live here.
    Your thoughts on this?

BTW, I did hold this account they are trying to collect on.

I don't know if I would do that or not. All it takes to match you up is the ss# and if they have valid proof that would stand up as proper validation, it isn't going to work. IMO.

    just my 1/2¢ worth.

I have done this in the past and it got me a "unable to locate consumer". Not good. Just ask for proof that it is yours. Then go from there
