I have a situation and hoping someone will help out.
I have made the mistake of making a payment agreement with a CA. To date, no payments have been missed and I don't plan to miss any. This is for a utility bill. I was wondering, since the payments have been made each month without fail, shouldn't they be listing the account as "paid as agreed" since THEY are now collecting the debt and the payments have been on time? Anyone that has had this experience, please let me know. I know my first mistake was to deal with them directly, but, I am happier paying it on than not.

Iâ??ve had a similar problem in the past. I had completely paid off a late utility payment and requested that the utility company remove the negative trade line. I was able to get the contact person to fax a letter indicating they would do this.

I was in a situation where the amount was small and arguably the utility company had some responsibility because they had previously indicated there were not any late payments.

Long story short â?¦ try to get the utility to provide some documentation that they will remove the trade line once youâ??ve completely paid up.

    It worked for me.
