How to Proceed with CRA ??

I need advice on what to do next. I had 8 student loan accounts from 1994 that went into collections before I consolidated them. All 8 accounts were listed on my CRs as "Paid/Collection".

Here's the standing with each credit bureau:
    TU-
I disputed them as "not mine" during the CHOD period and had success. They deleted all 8 accounts. (yippee!) Score went from 630 to 800.

    Equifax-
Month after month, disputes came back verified. No success with Equifax until last month when I personally wrote to the OC. I basically BEGGED for them to either delete the listings from my CR or at least change the accounts to a neutral listing so that it won't be so detrimental to my credit rating. I redisputed with Equifax a month after I sent that letter and the accounts all came back with positive ratings! (Rating went from R5 to R1- score went from 630 to 680). Here's the dilema. All the accounts still show a 1 time late of 120+ days. Don't et me wrong. I'm so happy and thankful that they obliged and changed all 8 accounts to a positive rating, but lates on all 8 accounts are keeping my FICO score down. Would it be too much to ask them to delete the late mark also? Any ideas on how to proceed with that?

    Experian-
I disputed with them through paper and online(not at the same time of course) but all have came back verified as "PAID/Collection". Now they won't let me dispute unless I have new information. My question is; Can I use my Equifax report(with all postive ratings) as proof of new information to get Experian to investigate?(OC never sent me a letter agreeing to change status to postive, otherwise I would use that)

I hope to purchase a house by summer and I'm trying to improve my FICO score to get the best rates possible. I welcome all suggestions! Thanks!

How long ago were the lates? They may not be hurting you that much. Which TU score are you comparing to? One is a FAKO (used to be free), and they also have a true FICO score.

They lates were in 94. I also did wonder if the lates had much impact anymore but I have a hunch they still do because my TU score jumped up pretty high with deletion. I'm pretty sure it was the real FICO because I paid to get the score.

These accounts are due to fall off 5/2004 but if I buy a house this summer, the lates will still be on Equifax & Experian...I'm hoping I can them deleted cause I could use all the FICO points I can get. :D
