    Suite16,

First dispute all the tradelines as "not mine" then if you get lucky and they get deleted, then you work on disputing the public record BK7.

It's obviously not as simple as it sounds, and it will take awhile re-disputing and changing your reasons.

    Good Luck,

Thanks Sal. Is it really possible to successfully dispute a public record CH7?? I wonder has anyone on this board had success with this?

    Suite16,

No problem. The answer to your question is an definate YES. You can challenge and delete any item on your reports, it just takes time and patience(ALLOT OF PATIENCE).

I'm doing this for a friend right now, and so far we got 1 BK 7 off of one of her reports. Don't get me wrong, it's a pain in the butt but can be done.

I went to dispute hubby's CR at EQ and marked "not mine" on the BK7. It was deleted. I made the mistake of disputing mine as "discharge date wrong". They corrected it and now verifies it every time! It will be gone in Aug anyway.

    First Class,

Do you suggest to go after the "inc in bk" lines FIRST, before challenging the Bk on all CRA's?

    Thanks, Suite16

Yea, it only makes sense that's what i did. It will make it more easy for the ch7 to come off when all the (inc in bk) come off first. When there are all gone then dispute the ch7 as as bk was dimisissed please remove this bk from my file so that i do not need to pursue my legal rights under 15 usc Section 1681n or 1681o, whice requires your compliance with the law. Good luck!

I have found it much easier to get rid of the public record (dispute as "not mine") than the tradelines.
Several credit card banks are difficult to get rid of: Bankamerica, Chase, Citi, MBNA.
Others are easy: Associates, Providian,First USA,Household
Always dispute first as "not mine", then try "payment never late" or "paid before charged off"
Ignore any requests for further info from the CRA or bank. (e.g.First USA fraud affadavit which is common when disputing them as "not mine")
Don't submit additional disputes to TU when you have a batch "in the system" -- they lose the new disputes anyway. With EQ and EX you can have multiple sets of disputes working at the same time.
Try to get your address changed in the credit bureau files from the place which you listed when you BK'd.

Anyone else have experience in which is better to go after first (BK record or tradeline's "inc in bk")?
