I have bought 2 prepaid credit cards for my mother on mother's day only to find that there were 3$ and 7$ left in the balance when my mother activate the cards. I have contacted the card company and had sent all infos but havn't heard from them yet and don't think i will ever hear from them again. Who should i report them to?
What state our they in,report them to the state attorney general, bbb, federal trade commision.who was the company?
This is a big problem with prepaid cards and gift cards. Some companies expect the card to be used within a certain time. They charge a fee each month that reduces the balance so if you don't use it you lose it. Read the fine print if you are shopping for a gift card.
Good/valid point. What these stores should do - hell will freeze over before that ever happens - is to have a large sign in the area where you pick up a card/cards spelling out "cards must be used within 30,60,90 or whatever days".
