I found out from the CA that if I dispute a judgement that has been satisfied and paid, they will not disagree with it. If it has already been settled and PAID, how can I get this removed? Is it the same as 'vacating it' or is it another process? What would be the easiest way to dispute this? I didn't appear in court for this to contest it and the CA got ad efault judgement. They already got paid and have no interest in whether I try and get rid of it anyway.. it has come back verified every time from the CRA. Any suggestions? How would I file a motion to get rid of it? Anyone have a generic format for this? Also, how about a generic court order for the judge to sign? Where can I find these type of forms? Thanks in advance..
I had a paid judgement removed by saying it wasnt mine.TU gave me the hardest time about it intil I noticed the last time I disputed it came back as a satisfied tax lein, I do not own property and never had so I disputed over the phone and told them that it was totally wrong and they removed it.Good luck!
I would like to know as well. I had a judgment (by default) on TU and EXP. I disputed it with TU a year ago and it came back deleted. EXP verified it and finally updated it as satisfied. Anyone have some answers????
I question if there are any special tactics that can be used to remove a tax lien as well? I am working on a few judgements also.
Here is what I did. I am not saying that it will work for you because I live in a town of about 40,000 people. I was taking the advise of people off of the board to check over the papers filed for judgements and see if there were any errors with them. Well when I went to the courthouse to look at the papers I was informed that 4 of the cases were old enough that they were not kept at the court house anymore but I could pay $15 per case to have them retrieved from across town and have a look at them. Well I said that is ok maybe another time and left. Went home and thought about it for a little bit and then disputed all of them with experian and they all came back as deleted. Once again I am not saying this will work for you but if you live somewhere that they have not automated there entire court records system then you may have a chance at disputing them. Mine where all satisfied and they were all 4-5 yrs old. I am waiting for the new year to check with the courthouse again and see if my other 2 have been moved to storage. Casper72
I am sure I can keep disputing them with the CRA, and eventually they will come off.. but I figure the fastest way to take care of this will be to do it in court - especially becase now that it's PAID and settled, the CA has no incentive really to dispute it. I also received word from a representative that I have a 99% chance that it willget removed. SO my question is on how to remove them, not to dispute them w/ the CRA. It only appears on 1 CR anyway and I believe I will get that removed soon anyhow, because of my lawsuit I won in court. Thx Lizardking - those templates would definitely help w/ the list of reasons I can use?
