I only have one account that's giving me trouble . Collector from National Credit Systems... old apartment bill, I asked if I paid in full if he'd erase it n said No! So I did dispute n Nothing happened. So I recently sent a pay for deletion letter n hopes that works. But he keeps calling n I keep stalling... SHOULD I just b a dick n say Look man ur not gettin ur money til its off my report! I told him there's no point in paying cuz it won't change my credit. It's 706.00, n it was co signed wit me n my ex. He said he's gonna update it every month I don't pay to refusal to pay... what's funny is I contacted him cuz I seen it on my credit from Feb... no one ever sent me a letter or called sayin I owe. So what do I do? How should I talk to him next time he calls?
I wouldn't talk to him anymore. Keep your communication in writing, and await their responses to your letters.
When I address the letter will someone else answer me back or will it most likely b passed to the collector who contacts me?
It depends, but my guess is you won't receive a direct response from the collector up front. However, I'm sure he will review your correspondence if he's still assigned to collect your debt.
