I have a charge off that I've been trying to settle for deletion. I pulled my experian report last week and its being reported as this:

    Charge off as of 4-2001
As of 7-2009 this account is scheduled to go to a positive status.

Now, this was charged off by the OC in 2000, (although they are reporting the charge-off date as 2-2001).

To me, it looks like they re-aged this. (it also has a last reported date of 7/2002). Can anyone clarify this for me? Thanks!

    Scout,

Experian is actually the easiest CR to decypher. If it states "will continue reporting until x.x.xxxx"

Thats the date you want to pay attention to in relation to how old this account actually is - if this changes for the worst then you want to go after the creditor that changed it (I also recommend contacting the CRA as well)

This just happened to me and they deleted the entire trade line.

Thanks for the reply. At least for this account, Experian is only listing what I wrote in my previous post. It looks like it got re-aged to me...
