I have a collection account showing up only on experian by gulfstate. Do I send a validation to them and ask to remove from experian? I'm afraid they'll contact eq and tu and It'll show up on those as well.I also want to send a cease and desist so do I include or send it seperately? I have already disputed with experian and am waiting for the results. Thanks in advance. jlc.
Yes, send validation. Not sure on asking for removal up front. Check some of the validation letters that have been posted on this board. They will only report to CRAs that they have a relationship (contract) with.
In the event the CA does subscribe to all 3 CRA's ( and just did not add the account to EQ and TU) don't tip them off to this fact. Just send validation ltr asking them to delete all accounts from your credit report.
That"s what I'm afraid of. It's only on EXP now and I would hate to "wise them up" and have them post it to my TU and Eq, as they aren"t nearly as bad. I am disputing on line with EXP now and am thinking of sending validation crrr now so they might be caught off gaurd and delete without further letters from me. thnx,jlc.
