I filed for bankruptcy a few years ago and it has been discharged.

A collection agency has a car loan debt that was included in the bankruptcy and and it is being reported on my credit report.

My lawyer says I need to write them a 30 day letter to get them to remove it.

Does anyone have a sample 30 day letter for me to look at on how to do this ?

They can continue to report the debt on your credit report.

If it was discharged it can be reported as part of the BK.

BK does not mean they have to delete it.

If you are not sure what your attorney mean, you might want to get another one :)

IF THEY ARE REPORTING INACCURATE information about the account, YOU NEED TO DISPUTE THE INACCURACIES WITH THE REPORTING AGENCY WHO IS REPORTING IT.

If they dont fix it, then let your attorney know about FCRA 623 (b) :)
