    LOL!

P.S. I tangled with Sears over a hard inquiry they promised they WOULDN'T put on my report. The customer service rep promised that she could consider my line of credit increase request without pulling another inquiry. Well, my next Equifax report confirmed that she lied. I then escalated like crazy on the phone and via written letter. They refused to remove the inquiry every time, so I kept at it. (I literally made 5 or 6 phone calls and sent 2 very crazy letters, lol.) Finally, after two months the hard inquiry did indeed disappear, but Sears never acknowledged that they removed it.

So I guess it is going to be a real *&^%~ trying to get a charge off , off the report even with the promise of full payment. Ug.

I was able to have my store account lowered to 16.9 (ooohh...) - better than a kick in the ###.

They are now converting store accounts to MC accounts if you ask - I went to retention and they did the conversion. Gold MC = 13.9%. Still kind of sucky (Target @ 9.9%) but the 0% offers still work.

I'm curious if they will change their payment applications - like everyone else does - and "trap" your regular charges while all payments go to the 0% balances 1st. Will see in the next month or so (anyone else notice this yet?)

My other half was turned down for a card 18 months ago. Since then they have pulled two hard inquires and sent her two more letters declining her application.

At this point I must ask what application. I am preparing a letter complaining about unauthorized activity asking that inquires be removed - ect.

Should be interesting to see their response.

Citi Universal "trapped" my transfer balance as well. I only transfered $450 so it should be paid off soon. Kind of sneaky you ask me. I now see why Credit card Companies do Transfer balances so easily. It is actually a money maker for them.
