How would you handle this?

I sent validation letters to CMI for 2 cable bills on hubbys reports. they never marked them in dispute-btw. I disputed w/ the 2 cra's that showed the accounts, and the 30 days is almost up. I checked EXP today, and they are gone. I checked EQ and they are still there, but showing as paid in the collections part. His score didn't go back down after the dispute was over. Now, I know paid collections is bad, but his score is still up where it was while they were in dispute. I don't know what to do, because if I mess w/ it, they could change their minds and correct it. I think probably I should leave them alone for now. What do you think?

Also, if they are going to pop back up, how soon do you think it will happen? 2 collections down, 2 to go. New validation letter goes out on tues, along w/ the estoppel for the other one.

Oh, and while I'm posting. The CA sent me a printout of a bill, which is clearly NOT validation. Then they verified the account with the CRA. Is this a violation, even though they assumed they verified?

Ok, I think that's it! LOL I'll probably have to repost this in the morning, since I have so many questions in one post. If you read all this, thank you!!

Ok, little bump for me. I realize that I asked a lot of ??'s last night. I had been away from the board for a couple of days, and I had to get it all in before bed I guess.

What I really need to know is, since the CA deleted on one CR, and updated as paid on another, should I just leave the paid alone? It's really an unpaid debt that I was just validating as a step to pay for deletion. like I said, his score didn't go back down yet when EQ finished the inves. and marked them as paid. I thought that was weird!

    TIA

Just to let you know...I am going thru the same exact thing with CMI...was even bold enough to tell them what they were reporting wrong (amount/unpaid). I went the goodwill way first.
All they did was change account to paid. Amount and dates still incorrect and they verified with the CRA's. Think I am going with the intent to sue letter shortly. They only thing they did when I requested validation was send me a letter stating the OC asked for proof of residency for 98-99 (never had service with them then) plus OC said they never asked for that information.

Jenasea--that sucks. I'd sue them too if I were you.

The difference is: these are valid accounts. These are on my hubbys reports, and he does owe the cable co. for these bills. I just validated to get them to agree to pay for deletion. I was watching for violations to give me some leverage to use later. I never heard from them about these accounts after I sent the val. letter. I just checked his reports and the 2 accounts are gone from one, and listed as paid w/ the other. They aren't paid at all, so the listing is incorrect. BUT, I don't want to open a can of worms and have them put them back on the other report. I'm surprised I never even got so much as a letter from them. I've heard awful things about them, so I anticipated a huge fight. It seems too easy, so I'm just waiting for them to pounce, ya know what I mean??
