I have done the online removal of bogus names and employers online with Experian. My third pass I used some language from a validation letter and sent it CRRR. That got a spouse's name of "A" (the entire name, yes, "A") removed but there are many old addresses, some repeated multiple times. Since the language was pretty explicit about verifying the data as per whatever (I can repost the language here if anyone cares), what can I do after 30 days passes and these addresses have not been verified and not been removed. I assume they'll send me an updated CR that says "verified" but no explanation. I realize that the info is small potatoes but I think it's a key step in getting other items removed. Any and all letters, tips, experiences are appreciated.
I've called experian to remove old address information as well as sent a letter and in both cases it was as simple as saying "Please remove the following addresses as they are incorrect". They deleted them from my report the next day, but it took 30 days to get a response to confirm their deletion. Have you gotten something from them saying that they didn't delete them? Brett
I've gotten an updated CR. When info was deleted, it happened quickly as I could see it removed online.
