11.9%. Its higher than my Citi Platinum but lower than Cap 1 and Discover Gold. I wasn't pre-approved, I just called and applied.

Can you give us some details on your credit file? Do you have any derogs? BK? How many inquiries in the last 6 months? I do have an EXP 691 score, but I have 2 accounts listed under bankruptcy. For some strange reason, Experian deleted my bankruptcy but kept those two accounts. So, even though there is not an actual BK on my file, there is some kinda flag due to those two accounts. Does HSBC do a manual review? I am afraid I will be declined solely only on BK, even though I have plenty of credit established.

11.65 was it. I wasn't positive about the 11.9. Yea they are a little higher but I get the 3.9 for 6 months then 11.65 after that. Its still less than 14.9 Cap 1, and 19.99 for Discover. Its going to save me money and it only cost me a hard on EX.

I have 2 different TL with negative history. One has a 30 day late from last year. The other was 2 30 day and one 60 day from 96-97. I also have 90% + utilization. The utilization should be helped alot with the new TL. I have $14,000 CL on my revolving. So in effect when the TL get reported util. will go way down.

No I didn't get the instant approval. It took 3 business days before I found out. I called the automated system to find out my approval.

The card isn't offered to all 50 states as of yet, correct?

I remember someone brought this card up around November. Around the time they announced they were acquiring Household Bank.

The HSBC web site says it only offers cards to people living in New York state. That's where most of HSBC's branches are, though I think there might be a handful in Florida and/or California.
