Just pulled my EQ report at PG- my disputes are in! Old addys gone and my CORRECT addy is showing so I am officially out of CSC's service area! So, now it makes sense to pay the $70 a year for the EQ credit monitoring service- didn't want to keep it before...only thing I could do is pull my report 4 times a year and get email "alerts"...yoohoo. I'm lazy- I like to dispute online Waiting until Friday to pull my "real" EQ report to see if these disputes temporarily increased my FICO. I did notice the Sallie Maes are back- and as bad as ever EQ DID delete 2 TLs as soon as they got my dispute letter- one installment loan I took out in 1994 and defaulted that same year- they had reaged it to DOLA of 1998! AND One credit card I had w/ Stutsman County State Bank back in 1995- again defaulted that same year. Apparently, it was sold to Household and they were reporting it as "incl in bk- dola 1998". My new Orchard card is now reporting- with a $14 balance so my available credit % shot up to 84%- according to PG my EQ score is now 551- I'll let you know what the REAL EQ score is on Friday
Awesome!!! CSC can be a true PIA. Congrats on the deles...good luck on new score results on friday. I have been on the phone with tu all morning. See, I pulled my WK report...and my bk disappeared. Well, thought I had another split file, so I asked TU. Nope, no split. Now, I asked her which copy she was looking at. She said it was dated from last week (it was same report they sent to me via mail for my results last week). Of course, I have this report at home and bk is still there. I asked if she could look at what I pulled today. She said no, because I have 1 item in dispute (started on 2/6). Then she says maybe I didn't get the whole report. I told her I pulled it from tu's site. So, still trying to fig this one out. FACO shot up 79 points! There are no inqs or anything, but ALL credit info is right. Only thing missing is bk, previous address, and maiden name. I'm sure they will come back, though. Haha...joke of the day...any score driven cc's that oull tu?
You didn't dispute the BK? The only thing I can think of is when after you dispute everything- they seem to take EVERYTHING off and then add it back on in a day or two... Could be with all that personal info gone they couldn't match the BK to you so decided to take it off? Well wait, the BK showed up on the "updated" credit report they sent after your investigation? Act of God? hehe Maybe go over to Privacy Guard and pull a trimerge there. They are not entirely accurate but you will be able to get a TU report dated today- see if the BK shows up on there? What's your TU score at now with the BK gone?
Nighlifer, I know I've seen people in TX, WA and CA that have to go through them. I live in Illinois. When I lived in northern IL, right on the WI border, that was considered CSC's service area. Now, I'm back in Chicagoland so I get to go straight through Equifax... I don't know specifically which areas are "serviced" through CSC- the only way you can tell is by pulling your EQ report and if one the bottom it says to contact CSC if you have a dispute. CSC is completely inept. Their reps are so misinformed and untrained.
smontoya, Very confusing. When I received the hard copy from tu last week, all my personal info was right. Remember when I couldn't pull my tu on worthknowing last week (after I received results) and I thought my file split because it was pulling blank? Finally got into WK yesterday and saw all that other personal info that was wrong. I played around with the creditor verification stuff and I got it to work. Much to my horror, my ex' last name and stuff cam up as current (his address too). All of my personal info was changed...even my name was 100% different. This is why I couldn't pull it. Thanks to one of the baddies updating, THAT is what changed all my personal data. Called to fix it and it was done. Anyhow, it's supposed to be straightened out now, but I still lost all my inqs and stuff...most importantly, the bk. Score went from 550 (faco) to 629. Hope it stays this way. Don't know why I would have lost all my inqs between yesterday and today. I'm sure they'll come back one by one.
You might get lucky and they won't come back Experian *still* hasn't fixed my file. I was hoping they'd find at least SOME of my old positives and put them back on...
