Just pulled up my EQ via CW and found that 11 items that I had removed over a year ago (I am a Junior and they are my fathers) have been reinserted. Coincidentally this is right after I called in a dispute last Friday and faxed in a dispute to them yesterday (trying to remove the last item on my report that belonged to my father)! About half of the items are derogatory.... amazingly my FICO only went down 7 points because of this but I am still pi$$ed!!!

How do you all think I should handle this? My EQ is handled by CSC... does anyone know of a "Mr. Cooke" or "Don Richman" at CSC? Think I should dispute again via phone, fax? I'm just so mad right now.

    Thanks for letting me vent.

Mr. cooke is capital one and don richman is transunion. CSC is a smaller affiliate to equifax I believe. I would hold my temper in( and yes I know it is difficult with these idios) and wait a week. If they reinsert the file they have to provide a 5 day business notice of said reinsertion. CRAs always forget to send it. Then you have then right where you want them.

    Picantel:

Thanks for your quick reply. I was curious about that reinsertion notice... since I subscribe to CW and it alerts me to new entries, inquiries, etc... could they consider that the notice or do they have to actually mail me a notice? Also, if they have to mail me one and fail to do so how should I proceed from there? BTW... I've kept all of the reports that I've received for the past couple years so I actually have the reports from CSC over a year ago showing these same accounts as being deleted if that matters.

    Thanks again,
    Kirk

They have to provide notice through writing you. CW does not count. I had TU do the same thing to me. They fixed it after my intent to sue letter hit. Experian just did the same thing but they think the laws do not apply to them and I filed suit against them yesterday. I called one of their attorneys today and she asked me to fax a copy of my suit which I did about 20 minutes ago. I will wait and see what happens later.

Cool... good luck with Experian, I hate them. Just found out yesterday that they don't even accept fax disputes anymore... had to CRRR them. I guess I'll just wait the 5 days and see if I get the reinsertion notice from EQ... if I don't receive that do you think that I should just dispute with them via phone/fax and mention that these items were reinserted and I never received notice or do you think that something stronger is required (notice of intent to file suit)? Also, is there anyway for a CRA to flag an account so that it can't be reinserted into the file at a later date? I know that these tradelines were not reinserted by the OC because many of them are closed accounts and all 11 of them were reinserted on the exact same day.

Thanks again for all of your advice. It is greatly appreciated.
