I am so depressed!!!!

We all have to start somewhere. You can either get depressed or get mad enough to take some action!

I've had MANY setbacks in my credit repair journey and have wanted to throw in the towel more than a few times. I just have to keep reminding myself that no one is as committed to this as I am. No matter how hard the CRAs, CAs and OCs fight me- they cannot win as I am more determined than they are.

Now, getting down to business. What are you looking at? How many negs? Any positives? Don't let them get you down! It takes A LOT of work and forehead banging- but in the long run you will see the results.

Don't dispair, I ordered PG and I ordered each individual report from the actual CRA , the scores are VERY different, PG reported EQ at 636, EQ reported it at 663. PG reported TU at 627 but TU reports it at 652. I don't use PG for the scores, when I think something significant has happened I check the REAL CRA, not PG.

I am not even going to look at PG scores anymore! My equifax FICO is 575, but PG states it is 436!! Big difference!

I'm 21 months post BK, I have a Cap One card with 7500 CL with 12.99 % int. I'm beginning to look into a mortgage and "the futures so brite i gotta wear shades" It gets better!

I think it is because PG has 3 accounts listed as being open (revolving accounts I think), but they show up as closed at equifax.

BeeGee Girl, you could hit a 700 FICO in about ten months. Get some more accounts, dispute some items, pay every bill on time, and keep the balances as low as possible. Thats it, the age of the negatives will have less of an impact over time. And your new accounts will count more and more. I'm about 17 months from discharge and a 400's FICO and expect to see 2 of my reports break 700 next month. I am no expert at this and still have over 40 negatives on my 3 reports combined. So it is very possible to get results over time. GOOD LUCK!!!

YOU DIDN'T GET INTO CREDIT PROBLEMS IN ONE DAY...DON'T EXPECT TO FIX IT IN ONE DAY...OR EVEN ONE MONTH...

It is kind of a punch in the gut when you get those first reports and see how bad it really is - I know I had been burying my head in the sand so long and thinking it wasn't that bad. But, I think the reality of how seriously screwed up my credit reports were has motivated me that much more to take control!! Good luck to you!!

P.S. Venting is a necessity!!

I actually look back now and remember the 424 FICO just last year. If the scores would have been worse than that then, I would feel like I have accomplished more today. Set realistic goals for yourself and watch the FICO rise. It does take time, with the right work you could raise it around 100 points in about 3 months.

I wish I did to. I got pretty much all of my information on credit from www.cardoffers.com the last 17 months rebuilding. I didn't know about this site, it is SO much better. You should read some of the reviews and discussions there. YIKES! Read the reviews from cardholders of a credit card. I can't tell if alot of them lie or they are just really that ignorant. Good Luck!
