I wouldn't buy it now.... it's probably against both of them!!!!

Just call fraud Monday.... and tell them that you have pulled your report. You found Ton's of fraudulent information you want deleted promptly and you wish to place a fraud alert as well!!

I can say I have a personal friend who has delt with name variations on her report. She has had as tons of trouble if not more than what I have went through!!!

I noticed that you found that you have found that this girl lives in the same state as you now. If that is the case... your best bet is to place the alert ... b/c you will probably see more items placed against you in the future!! I don't want to scare you are pull you down.. just inform you of what could happen.

    Chelle

You WILL be able to get credit.. JUST as protection.... THEY WILL HAVE to call you at your home to verify it is you!!!!!! In my opinion.....EVERYONE.. w/good credit should do this!!!!

Chelle....The only thing you can't do with a fraud alert is pull your reports or scores online!! Don't let people scare you!!! I have had a alert since 1999.. I know what I am talking about!!!!!

Either way Chelle.. You are still being confused with someone else!! IF you handle it like I suggested earlier.. ,it will help you no matter if she is using your id or if you are just confused with another person, in the long haul!! I am only suggesting A$$ covering procedures...lol And to make sure you zap a problem and not let it bloom into a catastrophe

    Chele,

I think when you are using their credit monitoring service, you have a lot more credibility and leverage with them. I think it would help. Just my opinion, they don't promise you special priviledges or consideration.

Also, since you are having this problem it will help you keep an eye on your report.

Thanks lady...Blonde moment here...your advice is to buy this and also do a fraud alert....see, If I pay for the year subscription and then do the alert....don't they have to let me have my reports online since I paid for the whole year, and that's what I am buying from them?

Honestly.. I wouldn't worry about how and when I will be able to pull my report... I would worry about getting this crap removed...!!! NO... I don't think you can keep credit expert if you place a fraud alert... YOUR privileges such as that are banished.. It's a small price to pay... to make sure fraudulent items are removed and you have full protection with your credit....!!!!!!!!

It is always....best to send this or any letter for that fact CRR... that way you have a paper trail if/when "that CA" will not remove HER CRAP off of your report... you can sue them and it will stick...!!!

I know you are getting frustrated .... I am typing these "stories" and you have already asked two or more questions...sorry... I am just trying to make sure I answer the questions correctly...!!

    Re: I am soooooooooo MAD!!!!!!!!!!!

I can tell you that I have asked all three CRA's to have their monitoring service WITH my Fraud alert... and they told me NO...!!!!

I am with you all... I think it will help me and other to find things easier that don't belong to me and dispute once it shows up... but... they don't see it being used for that purpose...!!!

    *** DON"T ASK ME WHY.... F**k**G A$$ HOLES ***

IF for some reason.... they have changed their policy.. PLEASE.. let me know... I would like to have the service as well!!!!

But... just to be on the safe side... I wouldn't buy it untill i found out for sure you can use it!! I am not sure they will refund your money...!!!!!

I DON"T believe that this is fraud....I DO believe that this is a classic case of co mingling or merged files...Isn't this different than fraud?

Yes... it is a Classic Case of being mingled with someone else's credit file... BUT... you will have to go about correcting your file the same way a fraud victim would. WHY.....????????????

Look at it this way... IT is up to you to prove to these CA that they have the wrong person... Just calling these people up and saying 'HEY you have the wrong person" ISN"T GOING TO WORK....Word of Wisdom... these CA's here this from just about every person...!!!! IT is up to you to PROVE you aren't the person they obviously think you are!!!!! Adding a Fraud alert for you own protection is like Going the extra MILE.. !! And IT is up to you to prove that you are going the extra mile so THEY KNOW they have the WRONG PERSON...!!

Chelle... YOU DON"T know if it is a mingle in the name or id fraud... THIS Would protect your A$$..!! POINT BLANK...!!! Go about it any other way.. it can come back and bite you in this a$$ years from now.... ALSO.... Keeping your paper trail of all of this would help you down the road if you are mixed up again!

Trust me my friend has had an awful time. She couldn't get anyone to believe her and it took her almost 9 months to get everything straight!! She has basically had to do the same thing as I .... THE only difference ... she didn't have a police report and I did.!! THAT IS IT.....!!!!!!

    Chele,
I had a comingled file and 3 yrs later there is still an account on my file with a 30day late that IS NOT mine.

Experian would have nothing to do with unmingling the accounts. They put it all right back at me after they "verified" the accounts as mine!

I had to write and call each and every account that wasn't mine and fight with those businesses over the whole thing. It took a very long time, something like 6 to 9 months to get most of it cleaned up and to get "her" birthdate, drivers license, ss#, and addresses off of my report. Then, two years later her addresses and this account I mentioned above started showing up again. It has been an unending battle. I even finally tracked her down and called her earlier this summer and she was furious when I recited all of her account numbers, addresses, and drivers license # to her. I SHOULDN'T HAVE THAT INFO...but, thanks to Experian, I do. I believe the trouble started with Federated Department Stores because a lot of her accounts such as Macy's, Burdines, and a few others were processed or handled by Federated. Besides the credit file mix up, I also started receiving all of the junk mail intended for her and also important papers such as her medical insurance invoices from Prudential Health Care. I still recieve a few pieces of her junk mail so DMA marketing has things mixed up, too. How do I know? Because she has a middle initial. I don't have a middle name and therefore, no middle initial.

Good luck in trying to get these things off. I hope Experian will help you more than they did me. Start disputing with Experian and at the same time try to get phone numbers and addresses for all the accounts that are not yours and call and write to them. VERY Important that you make them send you confirmation of their letters to Experian telling the CRA to REMOVE the accounts. Keep those letters for many years because this will likely happen to you again as it did to me.

    Hi Breeze,
I did post on the "check in friends" thread, sorry you missed it.

I'm very raw and can't seem to calm myself down. Bad case of the jitters. I was on standby all day today and have been just about as tense and high strung as a human being can be, I think.

It's good to have the board to take my mind off things for awhile and give me something else to think about.
