I'm asking because today I sent to online disputes to all the credit agencies and forgot about the validation step and I want to know if it's going to hurt my chances of having the accounts deleted.

Does that make sense? Your answer confused me slightly...

What is the basis of your dispute? What is being reported incorrectly?

All the CRA will do is ask the DF to verify (electronically) that what they are posting is correct. Your dispute just gets coded (possibly erroneously) into some category of dispute, and the CRA depends completely on the DF's say-so on whether to change or remove anything. In theory, if the DF does not respond, the CRA should remove.

One account I'm disputing is a Victoria's Secret card account as not mine.

The other account is a CA account that I'm also disputing as not mine.

So, are you saying that all these accounts have to do is say that yes they are mine and the CRAs will believe them? And they won't get removed?

Don't they have to give proof that they are mine?
