Re: Re: I burned them in BK, they approved BoA: burned in 96 BK, approved in 2003 with fully clean reports -- $10K CL 9.9 Fixed.
Re: Re: Re: I burned them in BK, they approved You are correct! I was on another board & a rep from Providian posted quite a bit of *hush hush* info on how the comp works. Internal stuff that only a rep would know. Citibank, AMEX & Providian all keep internal BK recs. As well as previous acct recs. Before any of them even pull your CR they will check for BK. And previous acct. If you burned them thru court or as a previous cardholder, your likelyhood of getting approved severely drops. ProV is very hostile to anyone post BK (who burned them in court). Citi & Chase are just hostile to anyone post BK. AMEX not as bad but you'd better have an excellent score and be willing to call their TOLL number to speak to an underwriter (whatever they call their higher level credit analysts). Now that I'm post BK since 12/2003, I'm very cautious in which companies I apply to. So far, Fleet secured, American Pacific Bank secured, Bank of Louisiana secured & Emigrant Bank secured have given me no hassle. Orchard unsecured & Providian unsecured I applied to on July 31 and received. Not bad for just 8 mos out of court
Re: Re: Re: I burned them in BK, they approved A friend of mine 7 years post BK-7 applied for Citibank and Bank of America. Both approved! Citi approved her for 6400 (instant approval and Bank of America approved for 7000 (with a reconsideration letter).
