Re: WOO HOOO! I'm happy for y

7 years ago, I was divorced & filed Chapter 13 BK.
6 years ago, I had it dismissed, (still owed my creditors and it was still on my credit history.)

3 years ago, I realized that I couldn't finance the steam off of a hot dog for the past 4 years.

3 years ago began repairing my credit, settling debts, cleaning up my history. As of today, one item remains on one report out of 20 or so derogs on EACH report, and it falls off this November.

In the past 2 years, I've built a new home (8.875% 30yr fixed - rates were high in 3/00), leased 2 new vehicles (Chrysler Gold Key leases), obtained 2 platinum cards and one gold card, all under 9% fixed, refinanced my mortgage at 7.125% (three weeks ago), and purchased a $72K boat at 7.99% (last Saturday).

There IS life after bad credit. You CAN do it.
