but just wanted to update folks on what is going on with me. I started repairing my credit about two years ago and I have had ups and downs. I have not made a late payment on anything in over two years. I have two cc's with cl's over 1000 (which seemed impossible when i started). I started with 9 judgments (3 on each report) and am down to one. I refinanced my house! (thanks fla-tan) and am scheduled to close on my new home in a few weeks. sometimes you can work the program and everything happens really fast and your credit gets cleaned up in a few months.... sometimes, things take longer to come off your reports and improvement goes slowly..... I have won lawsuits against cra's ..... I have lost a lawsuit against an oc. my scores are still hovering around the low 600''s but when i started i was in the 400 club. I just wanted to encourage someone who isn't ready for chase or mbna yet, and wonders if it is worth it... it is definitely worth it and I have learned financial lessons for a lifetime!
Glad to see you, congrats on the new house! I will be there soon. Seems I'm on the same slow boat as you...I have noticed that some can power clean up, while for others its a long drawn out affair. I think alot of it has to do with luck of the draw, who the Furnishers you are dealing with are, and the age of your baddies. Mine were all very new when I started.
