I recently disputed an account with Experian and I got the letter saying that the account was verified and updated.

I pulled my report through CreditExpert today and this is how the account is showing.

    Status: No status
Status Details: Verified on 7-2002 and remained unchanged.

Then after all of the account info its says

Your Statement: Account in dispute under Fair Credit and Billing Act.

None of my other accounts show this, what does the no status mean, and why is it showing the account in dispute?

    Thanks for any help.

Did you dispute a charge with the CC company? Has it been resolved?

I had one on EX report. It was left on their from a dispute of a charge 2 years ago.

No, this account is an old chargeoff from some catalog shopping. It is due to come off next year. They did send me a letter that they wanted to sign saying they could further investigate it. I never sent it back, could this be why?

I was looking at my daughters experian report for the first time last week, and it had an old insurance finance compant there with the same listing. It was never disputed. The next time I went to her report, it is just...gone.......with an increase of 25 points since it was her only negative
