Okay, I get a credit report in the mail from Equifax yesterday. It is dated 11/17 and says, here is the credit report you ordered. Well, I never ordered one via mail from them but that is besides the point. I get to looking at the one they mailed and a charge off that used to be on my report is not listed. Well, the equifax report from privacy guard that was pulled on 11/20, the charge off shows up on that one? Why would it not be listed on the 11/17 report and then show up on the 11/20 report??? So would this be re-insertion even though they never notified me that they delted the charge off? They also never notified me that they would adding it back on. I am confused?? Please help!
if you never disputed it then take it as a dumb mistake in equifaxes part. but it may give you grounds to dispute. i say order another equifax report to see if its on there again. PG can do wierd things but it sound like equifax did it. or maybe they deleted it and PG is being slow about taking it off. ive heard of that too.
I disputed it in Oct. but haven't heard back from Equifax on the dispute results. So PG takes awhile to update even if I pull a report everyday?
YES. They get updates, but it's every other day, every 3rd day or something f'd up like that. I do know that PG does not have a live feed to any CRA though. It's all on files downloaded. So, when you pull your report from PG, it's from a file they rcvd from the CRA's. Each time they get updates, that one overwrites the previous one.
If that is the case why does a soft show up each time I pull a PG report??? I do not understand how they could not have a direct link and still show a pull.
I had a similar experience. Called PG and MyFico and they told me that the CRAs have some "satellite" database which they update immediately. Once in a while they also update the so called "main" database, which PG, MyFico, etc. are using.
