Well, not me, but all of the negatives are now off all of my three reports. But I had to say something to get your attention.

I just got my last EQ dispute taken care of and there are no more negatives on any reports. My only problem now is that I have high balances on my cards which means low scores, but I am working on it.

My last item was a paid collection from IC Systems which was not mine. They kept validating. EQ kept verifying. Even after the creditor wrote a letter saying it was a mistake and that I had never dealt with them, EQ and IC refused to budge.

Last week I got on the phone with IC. They claimed that they sent the paperwork to EQ to delete, so it was the fault of EQ. They refused to send it again. I called EQ, who said they never got the paperwork and would not request it from IC. I worked my way up to a supervisor with some authority, who said it was a mistake on thier part not to have deleted when I sent them the letter form the creditor. So, she deleted.

It was a long road to get here - over a year. Much thanks to all of you on this board, especially Lizardking for a well written validation letter. I started thsi process knowing nothing, tried to do it on my own, and then found this board. Eventually it got done.

My TU score is 702; EX (CE) is 660 ( I just got three points today for no reason); EQ was 659 before this deletion of the paid collection (I have not yet tried to get my new score).

This item was deleted from TU a year ago when I first disputed it. It came off EX in October after I sent a validation letter to IC Systems (they never responded to the letter but did delete).. Only EQ gave me a hard time.

Once my balances are paid down, my scores will go up.

I can't wait to have numbers like that! Those are the kind of scores that will help me buy a house.

    Sue:

No magic letter, just persistence. To get it off TU, I sent TU a letter saying it was not mine and that it was a mistake. They deleted - no questions asked. This is before I knew what I was doing. This is when I was stupid and really believed that to fix a mistake on your credit report, all you had to do was to show them it was wrong.

To get it off EX, I did a lot of things that did not work. Finally, I used the Lizardking validation letter, altered to fit my circumstances, and sent it to the collection agency. They knew it was not mine, so they could not validate. They deleted it from EX.

All of the above was not good enough for EQ. Even a letter from the crediotr saying they had never dealt with me was not enough. What finally worked was a lot of calling, finally ending up with the one person at EQ who was nice and who had authority to act. She acknowledged they should have deleted when they got the letter from the creditor.

It took 13 months to resolve.

Thanks for the information. Could you tell me where to find lizaerking's validation letter. I hate to be such a bother but I have never had a problem with a credit report. I have all but equifax and I requested it over a month ago. All of a sudden I have many different accounts on my reports that are not mine. One with an address and phone# that is not mine. Two accounts showed up last week that had been charged off but the card company said that it is not my SS#. Thanks again! Sue
