OK... I just hit with a late charge by capital one for missing a 5 May payment deadline.. I don;t know how I did this but I plain just forgot I am sooooo bumed out by this. I called Cap1 to see if this would have an adverse effect on my credit rating and thankfully not. I immediately paid the fee plus the 37 dollar balence and wrote PFB asking for forgiveness by reversing the bad mark from my credit card file... I hope they help me out in this one..
Goof ups happen!! =) I missed my February Cap 1 payment but didn't know it (online payment, computer/modem problems) until the next statement. It's my only current positive TL, I can't afford to have any lates show up. Thankfully, they didn't report the late payment on any of my CRs. Hopefully you will have the same luck!!
They all we usually forgive your first late pay. Just call them and make an excuse, and ask them to credit back the late charge.
I PFBed them and I am crossing my fingers and toes for goodluck on this one.... haha Its funny , 5-7 years ago something like this wouldn't bother me at all. I would of shruged and let it go. Now I am all paranoid about this and been bothered all day that I missed a payment out of complete stupid neglect.
I had great luck with planetfeedback for Cap1. Mr. Cooke called approximately 2 weeks after I sent the letter and he got my interest rate lowered for me. He is very nice & helpful. Good luck! paw67
