I called the Capital One 800 number last night to check my balance. They had the option to request a credit limit increase. So I selected that option, it asked me my income, I punched in my income, and then it told me that I was entitled to a $900 credit limit! So then it asked if I would like this increase, so I punched the correct number. Then I get a message back that says congratulations you got your credit increase. Your credit limit has been increased $100 and is now at $400! I was happy to get the increase but greatly disappointed that I did not get the limit of $900 that they said I qualify for. There was an option to talk to a live representative but I did not choose it. It was after midnight and I was tired and didn't want to deal with a hassle of asking for a great increase. Anyway, I was totally shocked it was so easy to get a increase from Capital One. I didn't even have to talk to a representative and threaten cancellation of the card.
