Today I got a letter from Equifax in response to my dispute. Equifax's letter simply said that two negative CA reports related to an old medical bill (only one year from SOL) would no longer appear on my credit report. This is good news. I have a strategic question now on how to proceed. The same two Collection Agency items, from Paul Michael Assoc., still appear on TransUnion and Experian. What is the best strategy to also get it removed from TransUnion and Experian? Dispute the negative item with the other two CBs, as I did with Equifax? Or should I dispute it with Paul Michael Assoc., the CA? They (Paul Michael Assoc) are very organized. Normally, they quickly send documentation. Usually, that documentation does not actually establish responsibility for the debt, but most people and the CBs just as typically presume that it does.
