Each person is different, but keep letters short and simple, and make sure you type it so it's legible. I said something like: The information reporting as my address of (123 Blah Blah Blah Street), is incorrect. Please delete. The correct address is (new address). The information reporting my name of Arnondo (Last name) is incorrect. Please delete. My correct name is Armondo (Last name). This is just in a hurry, but I hope this gets ya started!
Thanks! The reports actually show my current address, but then list my previous addresses. Is it still okay to send a letter to correct the address so that the previous addresses aren't showing? As far as the name is concerned do you do first name, middle name, last name or first name, middle initial, last name?
You can do the letter to get them removed.. After thinking about it, I'm kinda iffy now about leaving at least 1 previous address, cause even though it's not a biggie too much, I'd love to know that the person lived at 123 Anywhere street for 15 years,etc. But again, it's personal, if ya don't like seeing it there, then try to get rid of it. The name - you can do what you feel comfortable with. Like before, I only have 2 versions of my name: DR.Armondo...hahaha Okay - I'll be serious... I have A(my last name), and Armondo (my last name), and that is what 99% of my legal documents and stuff says. All those other names on my report were deviations of junk, and I got rid of them. It's really up to you what names you want left on there. Remember too, I told ya that the only time an old name popped back up was when a creditor updated something, but I got rid of it again
for removing previous addresses and names, if you have copies of your report, you can just call the cras (or go online) and they will usually remove it right away (you need the number on the top of your report to access both) i never lived there, please delete that info. my name is not MC Hammer, please delete... i haven't seen this issue addressed in the last few times i've visited credit net, but if you have extra time to burn, this should be the first thing you do. first because it is so easy, secondly, the less amount of info that links you to your old debt the better. good luck

On one of my CRs they have my 6yr old daughter's name listed as a variation of mine. I called the bureau and was told that they could NOT remove it as it had been sent to them that way from a collection agency (from a hospital bill). How do I get this removed? It's not my name.
Hehe - not to say callin is bad - but writing is sometimes the only way they'll listen. The people that answer the phone might not can do some things. I wonder how a creditor got your daughter's name, in order to 'update' it. Anyhoo , I'd write and have it removed, and watch out ta make sure it doesn't pop up again.
It's an old hospital bill....she went to emergency and somehow her name is listed as the responsible party....
