I have a house?

Hey guys, just joined up today as I really want to clear up mine and my wife's credit. We both had bankruptcies a bit over 2 years ago and want to position ourselves better for buying our first house. So we need to get our FICO's up!

Anyway... I went to myfico.com and got all 3 reports plus FICO scores. For some reason I couldn't get TransUnion. Anyway, all of a sudden when looking at the reports I know why I keep getting calls wanting to know if I'm happy with my mortgage rate.

Experian shows I have a house! They show it was refinanced in June of 2003. Obviously, I don't have a house. Need to clear this up right? Need to get rid of everything that either isn't mine or looks bad? Is that the general idea?

Right now my FICO from Equifax is 677, Experian shows 656 and I couldn't get one from TransUnion.

Actually, why couldn't TransUnion show me one? I went to their site and ordered their report plus score and again they couldn't give me one. What could be the hold up?

If the lender for the house you don't have doesn't get paid, you could get the late marks. If they actually think it is you, they might try to get payment from you. You don't want anyone else's file mixed with yours, deliberately or accidentally.

I would call Transunion and order a report.

If you review your Experian report, you should see the number/address of the mortgage lender that is reporting this house. I would contact them directly.

Then I would write to Experian, disputing the home loan as 'not mine'.
