I got approved for a BoA Visa Platinum!!!!!!! I am soooooo excited! I got the email decision this morning and couldn't believe it. I was just denied for Citi BDD, it's in recon now, but I thought for sure BoA would deny me too!!! A victory for the little guys! I can't believe it only took me 6 months to go from sub sub prime to PRIME!!

    Thank you creditnetters!

Congrats!! They are very nice to deal with. Mom has their platinum card. It's not a toy card, BTW ;)

I don't know what your APR is, but BOA tends to start high, seeing if you will quietly accept what they give you. If you call, they are pretty good about lowering it.

    Thank you!
Diva, if you've got the time, I'll share my story!

Hubby and I applied for an apartment in August and we got denied mostly due to his CR. I got our reports and hubby was an average of 489 and I was about a 540. They only cards I had were 2 providian cards.
    I had for negs:
    Sears paid C/O
    Circuit City paid C/O
    Filenes unpaid C/O
    Cap1 settled C/O
    Honda 1 60 day late
    Beldens 2 60 day lates
    Ford many 30 day lates
I know I'm forgeting something (I'm at work and only have recent reports with me)
    6 positive accounts
TU had I think 56 inquiries

    Hubby had for negs:
    Utility CA Paid
    Anesthesiologist CA unpaid
    Dentist unpaid CA
    4 or 5 hospital bills unpaid CA's
    Chrysler many 30 day lates
    1 positive account
Hardly any inquiries on any report

    1st dispute round (before creditnet)
    me: Sears-DELETED
    Ford:Verified
    Hubby: 3 hospital bills-1 DELETED, 2 Verified

    Then I found creditnet!!!YIPPIE!!!!

I called Filenes and said I dont remeber ever having an account with you, but it's only $125, I'll pay for deletion, they did.

I PFB'd Cap1 and Mr Cooke changed the rating from an R9 to an R5.

I disputed Honda late pays, it was completely deleted from TU, late pays removed from EQU(and it says PIF and I owe $16K) and EXP verifies everytime.

Beldens reports 1 30 day late (due to fall off 2/03) and reports R1(never late) on EQU.

I threatened Ford with a lawsuit over the late pays (the car was already paid for) and they changed it to paid never late.

Circuit City I disputed not mine and it was deleted from all 3 (just reappeared on TU as unrated)

I did this in Sept. and Oct. plus I now only have 3 inquires on TU, 1 on EXP, and many on EQU.

I don't really remeber the timeline as well with hubby, but he now has 6 positive accts. (4 AU's on my accounts) and 2 paid Ca's and 1 partially paid CA, and the lates from Chrysler remain (deleted from TU entirely tho)

Like I said I only had the Providian cards before, now I have:
Citi Plat. $8500 got 12/01 (upgraded in 3/02)
    BoA $5500 got 4/02
Providian $2850 (just got $1K increase with a little whining) got 8/00
Target Guest Card $200 got 12/01 (still isn't reporting, never used card)
OD Protection $500 got in 4/98
    Gateway $1700 got 11/01
    Household $400 got 9/01
    and many closed auto loans

If you have made it this far, Thank You. It sure feels good to look back and see what was accomplished, Diva thank you for allowing me to do so.

    congratulations!!

I hope to have some postive results soon!!

I will probably have to stop myself from applying for cards, since I want to buy a house.
