For the last two years I've been cleaning up my credit, obtaining credit, building good credit, etc. I got my scores up to decent levels. About 2 months ago my score at Privista was a 96, considered "excellent." Then about a month ago it dropped to 87, considered "good." Now it is down to (they have since changed their format) 654, considered "fair." What gives?? True, I've added a couple of new accounts, my balances are a little higher, but nothing derogatory. I make my payments on-time, always pay more than minimum, etc. Isn't this what credit is all about? One of the reasons they give is that I have no accounts over six years old! So - big deal! Anyway, I just don't get it ...

    Me either...

Privista told me that one of the reasons my score is as low as it is is because my oldest account is 6.5 years old. Go figure...
