I posted last year that my goal was to be approved for an Amex card. In late Jan. I applied for Blue but they denied me for too many inquiries - I had 2 in the past 6 months and 1 was theirs. I didn't realize that the stupid gulf state acct that was re-reported, showed up before I applied. It has since been permanently deleted. I called Amex and told them I had an updated report with 0 lates, negatives, collections, public records etc. They told me to fax it to them which I did.

I jsut called, and although I haven't been approved yet, the rep said it is in the review process and so far everything looks good. So, my fingers are crossed. If I get approved, I think I will have completed my journey to credit repair. I started in March of 2001 with a TU score or 455. Yikes.

    Hello LHK,

What kind of minimum score would I need for a Blue card? Do they review TU only?

Thanks Doc, you are one of my hereoes too. Mutual admiration society. lol

Ted, they pulled equifax for me. The TU score was just to point out that it is possible to go from a score that is pure crap to being able to qualify for amex. The rep told me that mid 600's were good enough to qualify.

Who said anything about leaving. I would miss irritating the creditnetters too much. Funny, my ex wife didn't think I had much knowledge, wisdom or humor. LOL
