I ordered a watch from luxuryreplicas.com on October 6th 2001, gave my credit card info and was expecting my watch to be shipped. The next day I received a email saying that their system was down and to resubmit the order. I went to the website and the credit card process submition feature was removed(October 7th, 2001). The only way to submit payment was paypal (should have been a flag). I logged onto my paypal account and payed luxury replicas.com 275.00. I never received the watch. I have sent several emails to no avail. I filed a complaint with paypal a month ago and they are investigating it. I think it's a bogus site that is a scam. What can I do to get my money refunded and possibly shut them down. Thru research, I've identified the owner of the website but when the number given is called a voicemail answers in someone elses name. It is a New York address. Any help is greatly appreciated. George
the fraud submission is your best bet. I have been able to succesfully get 100 dollars back from a retailer that did not ship me my product. But your mileage may vary. But if the company is still doing business via paypal, and there is money in there paypal account and they cannot prove that they shipped you the items ie. tracking . then you might have a chance in recouperating your money. did you fund via checking or credit card?
Good, good, good.....now HURRY and file a dispute w/ your credit card issuer ASAP! It wasn't a Visa or MC debit card, was it?
Just checked out the site: http://www.luxuryreplicas.com There use to be other sites like this but it's my understanding that once they are discovered, they are eventually shut down. I actually had a friend who use to sell FOLEX's. He threw up a b.s. web site, etc. and the heat was on. He had to shut down shop and go back to selling his stuff on the streets and by word of mouth. His watches were way better than the FOLEX's that you see nowadays. His were SO REAL LOOKING, it was amazing! Only thing was that the back was clear so you could see the parts inside. Real Rolex's are like that as you know...
I would also follow up w/ Wells Fargo too. Won't hurt to have all your bases covered. Too bad you didn't use AMEX. AMEX has a policy that anything purchases over the internet that is disputed by the consumer, the consumer automatically wins. I was told this by a friend who works at an internet DVD company that deals w/ AMEX. She once told me that a customer who used their AMEX to pay for monthly fees disputed like a years worth of charges and WON! AMEX didn't even investigate. They just sent a letter to the company (basically stating in the contract were they have a right to take the funds back because they are an internet company) and proceeded to take the money back!
I just file a dispute with Wells Fargo at theirwebsite. I will call tomorrow. I've bought several rolex replicas with no problems at other site. Actually I have both real rolex's and replicas. Their similiarities are undetectable except by a jeweler. This is the first time in over 4 years that I didn't receive an order over the internet. I would like to hang the bast**ds!
You should get your money back with the fraud report. Reading their information on their website it looks very fishy. Things like references to ordering items that are not in stock and they will not guarantee a specific time of receipt if they have to order it. Under the warranty ANY WEAR AND TEAR invalidates the warranty etc.
Thank to everyone for your help. I just received a email form Paypal stating the upon investigating, the seller was at fault and they were able to recover my 275.00. It will be credited in my account within 5 days. Now I have to contact Wells Fargo to let them know that my funds were recovered. George
