Hi everyone,I am so glad I found this site,THANKYOU all for all the info here. Now I am trying to get my credit straight,my score right now is 524,,I know it is horrible like I said I NEED HELP... On my report are 2 judgements, One was paid thru garnishment, and the other is being paid,(100.00 a month) I know the one I am still paying on is going to screw me,but is there any way I can get the other one off?I live in NJ.Also I have alot of medical collections from 5.00 to 150.00.I paid off a car loan but was late a couple of times,so that is showing up as negative credit,I thought if I paid off a loan it would be positive. Its funny though, all 3 credit bureaus, don't all have the same info.I just received a credit card thru First Premier Bank,it is unsecured but my credit limit is low very low...I also have a loan paid off thru my credit union, and I opened another loan thru the credit Union hoping this help me.But I need to get this score up in a year or less because I want to buy a house.I am tired of renting.Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

I wouuld dispute some of these,I would goodwill the car loan explain that your trying to buy a house and you need to have this removed.i would make it sickly sweet.

Can Inquiries on my CR be removed? Or do I have to wait for the 2 years or longer to come off? Also can someone recommend a legitimate firm or person to help me strighten out my cr?I have tried a firm called Lexinton Law firm and I don't think they are all that good.In fact I didn't see any positive results so I cancelled.

    Thanks in advance

Apex Credit Services is a legitimate firm. One of them posts here as apexcrsrv. Check his profile and contact him.

He'll tell you if they can help you or not and what it will take.

It just means that you write a very nice letter, telling them the problem, and how much you like doing business with them, and ask them if they'd consider removing the late (or whatever) as a gesture of goodwill.

You don't need to use those words, you're basically making a case that you screwed up once and would like forgiveness, and how you have learned from this, etc.

You get the idea. Make it in your own words, using form letters is never a good idea anyway.

Is a letter the best way or can you call ?AND Who do you contact? I want to ask Bank of America to remove sevreal lates that are almost 5 years old when the bank that is now BoA was Fleet.
It was a credit card(15K) and I have paid it almost off - 1K left account is closed then several late charges.
So I need to know who and how?
    Thanks

Executive office is best. Sometimes phone works, sometimes not.

    Planetfeedback sometimes works, too.

I haven't tried goodwill with BoA, so not sure how it goes.

Why not try some self-help? I found this great site REMOVEDBYMOD which came up with lots of information and tips to manage credit better. My credit ratings have improved and believe me its worth the effort to learn how to mange your finances better.

Don't listen to this spammer. Take Hedwig's advice. They don't get any smarter!
