I had a joint Bloomingdales account with my mother that was closed in 2000 with a past due balance of about $600. It is being reported by all of the credit bureaus but had not been updated since 6/00. I was not sure if I was on the account or just an AU so I sent a validation request.

No answer, so I sent a second, still no answer.

I disputed will all credit bureas and it was verified but Bloomie's never marked the account in dispute or responded to my letters and faxes.
So, I have them on numerous violations.

I sent a 48 hour letter to Bloomingdales on Feb 14, 2003 for five FCRA violations and there was no response. On Feb 24, 2003 I sent a second notice including an ITS. I was prepared to take themto court and then on March 1, I received this letter from their legal dept.

I would file... If they were serious about settling, they would call you or ask you to call them!
