I need to get a $2500-$5000 credit card or LOC that will let me place some ads for business-related stuff. My credit scores, according to TrueCredit are: TU: 641 EX: 649 EQ: 666 I've got one card that's 90% used up and a $5k LOC that's 90% used up. Due to a sudden unexpected change in my employment circumstances, paying them down right now isn't much of an option. I hear there are cards to fit just about any kind of profile. I'm trying to see if anyone here might know something that will work here. I'd rather target cards that are likely to be approved. The interest rate isn't important as it's mainly a 60-90 day float that I need. Or, alternatively, is there anybody who'd factor some receivables on internet sales, all from one or two vendors? I'd only need about 20% of the value. (The vendors pay 45-60 days after the sales are made.)
You may consider increasing those scores in quick fashion. That would allow you to obtain some products. With your utilization out of whack right now, it wouldn't be hard to boost them pretty quickly to about a 700. That would enable you to get AMEX, Citi, Chase, etc.
Even with your high UT your scores still keep you in the ball game. Evaluate business cards from Advanta, Citi and Amex. They generally have higher CL. If you're approved, chances are they will not show up on your CR. Good luck.
apexcrsv: what do you suggest? I've got one neg entry that's been dogging me for a while that has been taking a 50 point toll on my acct. I'm waiting to get some paperwork from the OC to blast them out of the water. Until then, I'm kinda stuck. I've disputed and disputed with the CRAs, to no avail. AMJ21: I've already got one from Citi, a Diamond something or other. It has a $2600 limit and they refused to increase it a few weeks ago. Amex wants some money from an old charge-off that I'll pay when I can. But not now. If I can get into the 670 range on all three, I can apply for a business LOC and have funds fairly quickly. Just that one stickler in my profile is killing me!
Do you think you can qualify for a business credit card? BoA, AmEx, Chase all do business CCs which may get you over the hump.
