Experian has screwed up again. First of all, they seem to have two seperate ID#s for my son, with his old address on one and new address on another. There is an old collection that was deleted, and has been re-inserted on one of the reports, ( without his being notified) and he was declined because of it. To make matters worse, this seems to have taken place when TRW changed to Experian.

I don't know how to procede from here..should he send a "prove or remove" letter on the re-inserted collection and THEN take up the matter of two ID#s? I am real hesitant to try to explain to them what they have done, as I had an experience with a credit bureau a few years ago where a collection had been assigned to my underage daughter because of her similar name to her father, and when I tried to get it changed, all they did was list HIS SS# as HERS instead of removing the collection from her name...I don't think we are dealing with rocket scientists here.

    Any tips would be appreciated.
