I'm so upset. My BIG derog came off EQ today. My $5000 judgment and lien both removed...and my score went up 3..yes 3!!!! points (612 -> 615). I am so upset, I'm almost on the verge of angry tears. I thought I would get a good 30-50 points from something that big coming off. Ugh.

I'd settle for a zero point increase if only I could get a judgment deleted! slinky - are all the derogs off? I'm told the big point jump comes when the last derog is gone.
no, there is a collection that is still waiting to come off. it was recalled by the OC and is not in collections and has come off TU, but not EQ or EX yet....but I know it will be coming off soon (I hope). I just figured the judgment was the biggest thing lowering my score....but, i guess not.
You need to keep in mind that the $ amount is not what counts. It is the age of the derog. A recent $5 charge off will lose you many more pts than a $5000 5 year old judgment. How old was the Judgment? When the last derog comes off, you will see a substantial increase.
The lawsuit was filed in mid-2001, paid in june 2002, removed yesterday I'm feeling a little better, but as many others know, it is quite frustrating.
